Who I am in Christ
•I am a new creation, created for a life of good deeds which He has prepared for me. Ephesians 2:10
•I am born again. John 3:3, 7; I Peter 1:23
•I am a child of God (Family of God) who has received forgiveness and a new nature from the Holy Spirit. John 1:12; Ephesians 2:19; Romans 8:14-16; Galatians 4:4-7
•I am in union with Christ. Ephesians 1:3; 2:22
•I am in Christ through baptism. Romans 6:3-4, 11
•Christ is in me through the indwelling Holy Spirit. Romans 8:9-10
•I have the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ. Romans 3:21-22; Galatians 2:21
•I am part of a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people chosen to proclaim the wonderful acts of God. I Peter 2:9
•I am a living stone used in building the Spiritual temple. I Peter 2:5
•I am a member of the church, the “called out ones,” the Bride of Christ, the Body of Christ, with Christ as the Head. I Corinthians 12:12 -20; Colossians 1:18
•I am a person with Godly assurance of all of God’s promises including:
•Salvation I John 5:11-13
•Answered Prayer John 18:24
•Victory over temptation I Corinthians 10:13
•Forgiveness I John 1:9
•Guidance Proverbs 3:5-8
•I possess every Spiritual Blessing in the heavenly world. Ephesians 1:3-7
•I am one with and in fellowship with all Christians. John 17:4, 21-23; Ephesians 2:18, Ephesians 4:4-6.
•Jesus brought down the walls and barriers between Christians.
•I am free from slavery to sin and the power of sin. Jesus has set me free and when the Son set me free, I am free indeed. John 8:36
In Conclusion:
•My bank account may be low, but I am rich in Christ.
•My health may be declining, my body my show its age, but in Christ my spiritual health is great.
•All my friends and family may not be close, but I have the best friend ever in Jesus who promises to place me in a fellowship where I am loved !
•I have sinned a lot, but in Christ I have the righteousness of God.
•My ancestors aren’t famous, but I’m a child of the King.
